About This Project
A client of existing hotel project done by my office called for a extension in the courtyard to create a outdoor covered cafe. The structure needed to be light weight and with-stand dust and heavy rain which are common in Wuhan. My idea was to create a floating landscape of irregular cells filled with polyethylene sheets. The structure is mainly made out of steel plates and supported on tree shaped columns.
