This primary school in Zuoling is planned as a dual-campus development, with the teaching facilities located on the west side and an office campus on the east. From the outset, the school buildings were designed with long-term adaptability in mind. Recognizing that educational demands and economic conditions can change over time, the architectural strategy allows the academic blocks to be efficiently converted into office spaces if required. To support this flexibility, the buildings adopt a simple structural system and a clear, modular layout. The campus is organized in a checkered plan, creating a rhythm of built volumes and open spaces. Courtyards are inserted between the main blocks to provide light, ventilation, and shared outdoor areas, while smaller internal courtyards within each block enhance daylight penetration and spatial quality. This approach ensures functional efficiency, environmental comfort, and future adaptability—balancing educational needs with long-term economic resilience.
